About the Journal

The Innovaciones Educativas journal is an international scientific publication managed by the Center for Research in Education (CINED) at the Universidad Estatal a Distancia. The journal disseminates specialized intellectual works in different areas of scientific knowledge related to the educational field. It is published semiannually in January (covers january-june) and July (covers july-december ) of each year in digital format (ISSN 2215-4132) and occasionally offers special issues on topics of high scientific interest. Starting with issue 42, Innovaciones Educativas is published only in digital format. Its target audience includes teaching staff, researchers, students, and professionals in fields related to education.

Innovaciones Educativas is open access and does not charge any monetary fees for submission or processing of manuscripts for those who wish to publish, nor for readers. The purpose of the journal is to foster a space for analysis, discussion, and reflection in the educational field in light of specialized contributions. It is supported by an Editorial Committee made up of national and international experts with extensive academic backgrounds. The journal accepts scientific articles, essays, systematizations of experiences, and literature reviews, which are evaluated through a “double-blind peer review” system.
