Reproducibility Policy
Reproducibility Policy
Innovaciones Educativas promotes the reproducibility of the studies that form the basis of the manuscripts it publishes through the following policies:
- Transparency in the Methodology Used. Authors must provide a detailed description of the methods used in the research process. This includes an exhaustive description of the methods, techniques, and procedures used to collect and analyze information, as well as the conditions or characteristics of the context in which the study was conducted.
- Peer Review. The academic peer review process assesses the reproducibility of the study. In other words, the reviewers will check whether the methodological aspects are sufficiently explained so that the studies can be easily replicated. If requested by the editorial team or the reviewers, it is possible to ask the authors for data and codes to check the congruence with what is described in the document to be evaluated for publication.
- Retractions Due to Reproduction Errors. The Journal requests that authors be prepared to submit corrections, errata, or retractions when errors are discovered in the reproduction of the results of a manuscript. This should be done in accordance with the guidelines established by the Journal in this document.
- Reproduction of Studies. The Journal accepts articles that consist of the reproduction or replication of a study previously published in this or another publication. In all cases, authors must fully comply with the guidelines set forth in the Journal's Author Guidelines.
- Guidance for Authors. The Journal provides consultation procedures for authors who need such assistance. It also provides digital resources developed by the Center for Research in Education to enhance individuals' skills in preparing publishable manuscripts.
