Abstract

This article analyzes the implications of climate change on water resources. The point of departure is a previous research by the authors which takes into consideration the impacts of climate change on water resources and some scenarios, to offer a balance of national public policies in relation to integral water resources planning and management. To this end, official documents were analyzed, some events were attended, and experts were consulted to evaluate the degree of improvement the country has had in mitigation and adaptation of water resources sector to climate change. To achieve pertinent actions it is necessary to strengthen institutions and political will.
