Desafíos de la rendición de cuentas en la educación superior

Este artículo presenta un análisis de la rendición de cuentas, conocida en inglés como accountability, y su expansión en los sistemas académicos. Con base en la investigación bibliográfica y documental, este trabajo enfatiza los dos sentidos de accountability: el normativo y el tecnocrático. La hegemonía del sentido tecnocrático sobre el normativo tiene implicaciones para el modelo de rendición de cuentas que se está consolidando y no favorece una responsabilidad inteligente de los sistemas de educación superior.
