This special issue of ANN is devoted to the topic of strategic thinking and its application in organizations. It discusses the relationship of management with management and strategic planning. It analyzes the audit of strategic analysis (internal and external) and its link with the organizational structure. A classification or typology of strategies is established, which arises to group companies according to the results obtained in the market they compete in, and five tools that allow determining the progress of the strategies established in the organization are explained. In addition, various issues that organizations must take into account in order to carry out strategic planning are analyzed.
