Who We Are
The Center for Research on Culture and Development (CICDE) is affiliated with the Office of the Vice President for Research of the Universidad Estatal a Distancia (UNED) of Costa Rica, Central America. CICDE conducts scientific research aimed at the systematic and rigorous investigation of culture and development issues from the perspective of constructing democratic alternatives. This work is carried out through critical epistemological approaches that seek to foster collaboration and integration among diverse disciplinary approaches and theoretical perspectives.
