Resumen

La introducción de nuevas patologías a los sistemas productivos es un riesgo constante generado por la movilización de animales, sus productos o sub productos entre países y regiones. Se presenta a continuación la descripción clínicolesional de un nuevo tipo de virus, llamado el nodavirus de la mortalidad encubierta, el cual ha sido reportado en camarones Litopenaeus vannamei. Así como las técnicas de observación usadas. Esto ante el riesgo de ingreso del agente a la región de Centroamérica, tal como ha ocurrido en el pasado con otras enfermedades.
